The Sturt Football Club is delighted to announce the re-naming of Unley Oval to “Commander Centre Oval” for the 2011 season. With the recent departure of House Bros as major & naming rights sponsor, the club is thrilled to have filled this pivotally important sponsorship category with a high profile locally-owned and operated business.

“The club is making a reinvigorated effort to engage with a new stable of quality major sponsors, and this announcement with another new partner, Commander Centre - really bolsters our revamped corporate strategy,” Sturt’s CEO Matt Benson commented.

The timing of this announcement could not be better given a draft program for the SANFL season is due out in the next week or two. The SANFL is experiencing a resurgence with minor round crowds up 5% in 2010, “We feel we are getting more traction with sponsors because of the unique local product that we can offer – and to have a quality operator like Commander Centre make this sort of commitment is a boost to both Sturt, and a vote of confidence in local league footy,” Matt Benson added.
